Mindfulness Meditation: What It Is and How to Practice

By mixing the ingredients of habits and action, you can change the taste of your own lives. Learn to nourish your soul and body to lead a balanced life.

Daily meditation is a healthy and spiritual exercise.

Mindfulness Meditation is the basic human ability to be fully present, conscious of where we are and what we’re doing and feeling, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

Mindfulness meditation takes practice. Here are simple instructions to begin formal meditation practice :-

  • Wear comfortable clothing.

  • Sit in a room where you will not be disturbed.

  • Set a timer, it may take 3 to 5 minutes.

  • Sit comfortably with your back erect.

  • Take three deep breaths, inhale through nose and exhale through mouth.

  • Simply, sense the breath moving in and out of the body.

  • Practice this every day and get rid of stress.

Research suggest that mindfulness affects many aspects of our psychological well-being—improving our mood, increasing positive emotions, and decreasing our anxiety, emotional reactivity, job burnout, lowers blood level and improves focus and productivity.

Meditation has gone mainstream. It is being practiced in schools, top companies like Google, Facebook, all offer mindfulness meditation training to their staffs.

Nowadays, meditation music is gaining lot of attention, the music soothes your inner body and gives you enough pleasure. If you practice meditation while listening to meditation music, you will reach deeper level concentration.

Elisha Goldstein, PhD scholar, has found that practicing meditation five minutes and five days a week was sufficient enough to lower stress levels, enhance productivity etc.

It allows you to be more present and happy for your family, friends, and everything in life.

Stay safe ♥️
